T.A. Taylor (Aust) Pty Ltd’s professional knowledge of the theory and practice of structural repairs is unsurpassed. Collectively the team works together to ensure that we can service client needs with confidence.
Our team comprises of senior managers who are then supported by technical consultants, engineers, chartered builders, project managers and experienced contractors across Queensland. Following is an overview of the employment of our senior managers. The Senior management team comprises of:

General Manager – Doug Geddes
Doug Geddes commenced his career as a distribution electrician with a State Electricity Authority, predominately working in HV generation and distribution. He has worked extensively in the mining and minerals sector within this capacity. He has also studied for his Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering. In 1993 Doug moved to Transfield Services and was appointed as the Western Australia Supervisor for Telstra Metro and Strategic Sites.
In 1999 Doug relocated to Brisbane in a new role as National Compliance Officer for Transfield Services under The Transfield Telstra Facility Management Alliance. He was responsible for initiating capital works programs Australia wide within the Telstra network, ensuring all facilities satisfied current State and Federal codes and standards. At that time he also acted as a Project Manager for delivery of major capital works throughout Queensland.
In 2000 Doug made the move to the private sector, working for a consultancy firm. In this role Doug provided consulting services predominately to the Queensland State Government Major Venues and the Federal Government Department of Youth Sport and Recreation. Doug developed new frameworks and reporting systems for asset life cycle modelling. He was responsible for project management of renewal and redevelopment works of some of Brisbane's major sporting venues including Suncorp Stadium (Asset management system) and Chandler Aquatic Centre where he was heavily involved in the design and installation of a movable bulkhead to enable FINA endorsement of the facility as an international short course swimming venue. In many instances much of his project work involved progressive works from providing the initial feasibility studies through to project delivery.
In 2001 a move was made to the Whitsunday's were Doug was appointed as the Engineering Manager for Hayman Island Resort. Within this role his experience in condition auditing, lifecycle modelling, project management and technical engineering services where fully utilised and further expanded upon. During his time on Hayman Doug was responsible for the seven star fit out refurbishment of the Lagoon Wing and lifecycle replacement of much of the Resorts major infrastructure.
In 2002 Doug relocated to Cairns at the request of Hunter Corporation to operate as client site representative on the Peer Point Hotel and Shopping Mall redevelopment. On Completion of this project he relocated to Brisbane and was engaged by TA Taylor Australia as General Manager.
